For one night only on May 28th, HANU — a new wave of contemporary Korean cuisine will host an exclusive collaboration between its Culinary Director, Kyung Soo Moon, and renowned Emirati chef and pitmaster Hattem Mattar. This unique dining experience will bring together two distinct gastronomic philosophies: one shaped by modern interpretations of Korean tradition, the other by the rich, smoky artistry of Emirati barbecue.

Guests can therefore expect a menu where the vibrant and nuanced flavours of Korean cuisine find harmony with the deep, smoky character of Mattar’s creations. The menu will feature a range of innovative dishes including the Smoked Duck Teokbokki infused with Korean tea and complemented by cherry and black sesame. The Sujuk Gyoza served with a unique kimchi hummus, pine nuts, and ginger garlic sauce. Seafood lovers can look forward to the Cast Iron Scallop featuring an intriguing blend of Prosciutto, Korean grape, and kimchi butter. For a Korean twist on a familiar favourite, the Wagyu Beef Burger will feature Yangyeom Galbi, sticky date barbecue sauce, and pickle pear. The Smoked Wagyu Bulgogi Bibimap promises a rich and smoky take on the classic Korean rice bowl with wagyu beef, honey-cured egg, and kimchi. To end the culinary journey, the Kunafa Bingsu offers a sweet and unique fusion with pistachio, chocolate, and coconut ice.
